Compulsory course
ภาควิชาวิสัญญีวิทยา ดำเนินการสอนในหลักสูตรแพทยศาสตรบัณฑิตในชั้นปีที่ 5 ทั้งหลักสูตรปกติและหลักสูตรโครงการร่วมมหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒและมหาวิทยาลัยน็อตติ้งแฮม โดยมีเนื้อหาสอดคล้องกับเกณฑ์มาตรฐานผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเวชกรรมของแพทยสภา พ.ศ. 2555 มีคำอธิบายรายวิชาดังนี้
One compulsory and one elective undergraduate courses are taught by our department. These courses comply to the medical undergraduates’ standard of competency of Thai Medical Council B.E.2555 and are taught in both regular and Joint Program with Nottingham University curricula. Compulsory courses are for Year 5 medical students whereas the elective one is for Year 6 or externship. Course descriptions are:

ศึกษาและฝึกปฏิบัติการทางวิสัญญีวิทยาภายใต้การดูแลของวิสัญญีแพทย์ ได้แก่ การประเมินและเตรียมผู้ป่วยก่อนให้การระงับความรู้สึกทั่วตัวและแบบเฉพาะที่ เภสัชวิทยาของยาที่ใช้ในการระงับความรู้สึก การดมยาสลบแบบทั่วตัว การใช้เครื่องช่วยหายใจ การใส่ท่อช่วยหายใจเข้าหลอดลม การดูแลผู้ป่วยระหว่างและหลังการระงับความรู้สึกรวมทั้งการวินิจฉัยและรักษาภาวะแทรกซ้อนที่เกิดขึ้น การเปิดหลอดเลือดดำเพื่อให้สารน้ำและเลือด การบำบัดรักษาด้วยออกซิเจน การช่วยฟื้นคืนชีพ
การระงับความเจ็บปวด และ จริยธรรมทางการแพทย์
The course covers topics of clinical practice in anesthesiology, The students will practice providing regional and general anesthesia to the patients under supervision. Including, preoperative evaluation of the assigned patient, pharmacologic properties of anesthetic agents, the use of regional anesthesia and general anesthesia, control of ventilator, endotracheal intubation, intra-operative and post-operative anesthetic care involve complication
management, CPR practice. The course will also introduce the students to the ethical aspects of medicine.
Duration of courses
รายวิชา วญ 521 จัดการเรียนการสอนผสมผสานในระยะเวลา 3 สัปดาห์ ณ ศูนย์การแพทย์สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดา ฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี และ ศูนย์การแพทย์ปัญญานันทภิกขุ ชลประทาน
Two courses are integrated and taught within 4-week period at HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Medical Center and Panyanandhabhikkhu Chonprathan Medical Center
การเรียนการสอนในภาควิชาจะเน้นที่ educational strategies ที่มีความสำคัญต่อการพัฒนาตนเองของนิสิตแพทย์ให้เป็นผู้ที่เรียนรู้ได้ตลอดชีวิต นั่นคือ การเรียนแบบกำกับตนเองผ่านการมองสะท้อนความรู้สึกตนเองผ่านประสบการณ์ทางคลินิก โดยใช้สื่อการเรียนที่เป็น online platform และสนับสนุนให้มีการเรียนแบบ "เพื่อนช่วยเพื่อน" และ "แบ่งปันความรู้"
The educational strategies adopted in the department are focusing on lifelong-learning opportunities i.e. self-directed learning via self-reflection through their clinical experiences. Our department relies on the merits of peer-assisted learning and knowledge sharing on the department's award-winning blog-the ARB.
Elective course
ภาควิชาดำเนินการสอนรายวิชาเลือกสำหรับนิสิตแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 6 ของมหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ หรือต่างสถาบันในประเทศ ระยะเวลา 2-4 สัปดาห์ได้แก่รายวิชา

ศึกษาและปฏิบัติงานเกี่ยวกับการระงับความรู้สึกในผู้ป่วยที่มารับการผ่าตัดแบบครบวงจร เริ่มตั้งแต่การเยี่ยมผู้ป่วยก่อนการระงับความรู้สึก การรับปรึกษาระหว่างแผนก การให้ยาก่อนการระงับความรู้สึก การระงับความรู้สึกแบบทั่วไปและแบบเฉพาะที่ การดูแลผู้ป่วยหลังการระงับความรู้สึกในห้องพักฟื้น การเยี่ยมผู้ป่วยหลังผ่าตัด และการระงับปวดหลังผ่าตัด ตลอดจนการอ่านบทความทางวิชาการด้านวิสัญญีวิทยาและร่วมให้การดูแลผู้ป่วยวิกฤตทางศัลยกรรมในหออภิบาล

The study and practice of comprehensive peri-anesthetic management which involves preoperative visit, interdepartment consultation, premedication, the practice of general and regional anesthesia, immediate postanesthetic care and postoperative visit, postoperative pain management, and journal club.
