Electives

Medical students from abroad who are interested in anesthesiology may apply for elective program AS 622 at SWU. Acceptance from the department depends primarily on the time of the semester, the availability of the rotation block, and the availability of the staff adviser. Students should contact through International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA) or via the Dean of the Institution at least 3 months in advance. Direct contact with the Department is not encouraged because it is unable to authorize the elective. Clinical experiences of the applicants will be discussed back and forth afterwards following the approval from bilateral agreement.

นอกจากนี้ ภาควิชา (โดยการอนุมัติจากแพทยสภา) เปิดหลักสูตรแพทย์ประจำบ้านเพื่อการฝึกอบรมสาขาวิสัญญีวิทยา ในปีการศึกษา 2557 เป็นต้นมา และในปีการศึกษา 2559 ภาควิชาเปิดรับสมัครนิสิตนักศึกษาแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 6 ได้ 2 ตำแหน่ง เพื่อฝึกอบรมหลักสูตรแพทย์ใช้ทุนสาขาวิสัญญีวิทยา หลักสูตร 42 เดือน นับเป็นสถาบันภูมิภาคแห่งที่ 5 ที่สามารถเปิดหลักสูตรนี้ได้

Furthermore, our department, along with Thai Medical Council approval, has commenced 2 residency training programs in anesthesiology since 2014. As the fifth regional institution in anesthesiology training, we are able to accommodate 2 positions each year. Currently, only 42-month training program is available and Year 6 medical students are eligible applicants.
